  Qibla finder (Umma apk)– Muslim platform, Umma, which was founded by young Indonesians, launched a mobile application that provides various information to facilitate the worship of Muslims. Unlike other Muslim apps, umma offers a variety of personalized Islamic content by leveraging artificial intelligence technology and community features.

“Our mission is to help users to become better Muslims (khairu ummah) together through the use of technology. Our application was developed to answer the needs of Muslims for reliable information about Islam in one place," explained Indra Wiralaksmana, CEO and Co-Founder of umma.

Currently, according to Indra, the content of the umma application has been filled by more than 80 popular clerics and clerics in the community who are ready to share information with users.

"Since we were present among the Indonesian people, we have seen an increase in enthusiasm for the umma platform," said Indra.

As of April 2019, the umma application has been downloaded by more than 2.5 million users in Indonesia with a fairly high user growth, which is around 50% per quarter from the 2018 Ramadan period.

This application offers easy support for Muslims in worshiping, interacting and sharing information among fellow Muslims. The development of the umma is very open to be able to facilitate various other needs of the Muslim community in the country. It is hoped that this platform can become Rahmatan Lil Alamin's platform and can be the choice and unifier of Indonesian Muslims.

In the midst of the perception that the presence of social media and smartphones only gives birth to negative activities and the spread of negative hoax content, umma comes with various features that invite goodness, such as:

Worship Support Features – consists of prayer times and Qibla direction that can be used in any location based on GPS. The Qur'an and umma translation features have the advantage of offering a collection of recommended verses of the Qur'an with various life themes.

Content Features – The content on umma consists of a variety of articles as well as various video studies and lectures of clerics that have been verified and moderated. As a technology platform, public content is personalized according to user interests using artificial intelligence technology.

Community Features – Contains a moderated conversation group to facilitate umma users from various backgrounds to discuss or ask questions with the ustadz who is the builder of the group.

“This community feature sets us apart from other platforms. Through the community feature, umma encourages Indonesian Muslims to work hand in hand to do good (fastabiqul khairat) to others through positive discussions. More than 1 year, we have facilitated the formation of 80 new communities and will continue to grow. We hope that umma can become the largest online Muslim community in Indonesia in the next few years,” said Indra.

The umma platform, Indra added, will promote positive content that contains blessings and goodness as well as Islamic values.

Ahead of Ramadan 1440 H, the umma platform is ready to support Muslims in Indonesia so that they can worship more optimally," concluded Indra.
